Last military strike under Biden in Afghanistan killed innocent people

The collapse of the Afghan government under former President Ashraf Ghani has been swift beyond what is natural. As a result, Afghanistan’s armed forces – without the support of America and various NATO powers – simply withered away. Therefore, the Taliban entered Kabul at random after the implosion of the Afghan government and armed forces.

US President Joe Biden and senior military commanders have said the Afghan armed forces will be preserved. However, this was obviously not the case. As a result, the rushed evacuation – and no alternate plan to preserve order – vanished into thin air because confusion reigned over the day.

For example, after ISIS affiliate Islamic State Khorasan (ISIS-K) killed scores of people in a terrorist attack in Kabul before the evacuation end date, forces American armies have naturally become more nervous. Now, America’s last military strike before the evacuation has resulted in the deaths of seven children and three adults.

The BBC reports, “The security situation worsened further after a suicide bomber killed up to 170 civilians and 13 US soldiers outside the airport on August 26. IS-K said it carried out the attack.

At first, the Biden administration claimed that the drone strike eliminated an ISIS-K terrorist who threatened to kill countless numbers. This implies that the death of ten innocent Afghan nationals was collateral damage. However, it turns out that America made a horrible error in judgment in killing civilians.

Lloyd Austin, Secretary of Defense, confirmed that the drone strike killed innocent people, not terrorists. He said, “We now know that there was no connection between Mr. Ahmadi and Isis-Khorasan, that his activities that day were completely harmless and not at all related to the looming threat we thought we were facing. “

Austin’s statement above is very different from that of Army General Mark Milley, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Milley immediately claimed the drone strike killed an ISIS “Facilitator”.

Milley also said, “We monitored this through various means, and all the hiring criteria were met… We suffered the same level of rigor that we have done for years and we went on strike.

However, the same level of people on the ground to guide – or prevent – no longer applies due to drone addiction and the chaotic nature of evacuation.

ISIS is also part of this horrific intelligence failure because Islamists have no qualms about killing innocent people, regardless of inside hospitals, markets, places of study and open spaces full of people. Therefore, the terrorist attack that took place not long before by ISIS has made the environment even more tense than usual.

The last military strike in Afghanistan under Biden resulted in the deaths of innocent civilians. Therefore, Biden’s exit strategy – and passively watching Pakistan take over the situation on the ground in Afghanistan – sums up his weak administration.
