MINSK, December 1 (BelTA) – On December 2, Minsk will host a meeting of the 61st session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Federated State of Belarus and Russia. The events will be held within the framework of the first official visit to Belarus of Viacheslav Volodin as chairman of the State Duma of the eighth convocation, BelTA learned from the press service of the House of Representatives.
The deputies will recognize the credentials of the members of the Parliamentary Assembly delegated by the Federation Council and the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of Russia and will elect the President and the Vice-President of the Parliamentary Assembly. In addition, new committee members will be approved and chairpersons and vice-chairs will be elected.
One of the main items on the agenda is the discussion of implementing measures for Ordinance No. 6 âOn culpability for the execution of the provisions of the Treaty on the State of the Union in 2021- 2023 â, adopted by the Supreme Council of State of the State of the Union on November 4. 2021.
The guidelines provide for a number of measures aimed at unifying, harmonizing and aligning the laws of the Member States of the State of the Union towards the following objectives: a single structural macroeconomic policy and a common financial market, a single economic area and equal economic conditions, harmonization of tax and customs legislation, a single fiscal policy and a common commercial and customs policy vis-Ã -vis third countries and international organizations, a coordinated policy in the field of labor protection, protection social security of the population, the provision of pensions, the alignment of civil legislation and determine the basis for the creation of State property of the Union.
MEPs will examine Union State integration programs and legislative support for their implementation.
MEPs are also expected to consider the situation on the Belarusian-Polish and Belarusian-Lithuanian borders and the reaction of the European Union and other international organizations to the problem of international migration.
