Union Home Secretary Amit Shah said on Saturday that demarcation would take place in Jammu and Kashmir, followed by elections and then state restoration.

“Why should we stop the delimitation? The delimitation will take place, followed by elections and then restoration of the state. I want to be friends with the young people of Kashmir, ”Amit Shah said in Srinagar.

Delimitation consists of redrawing the boundaries of an assembly or constituency of Lok Sabha. It is made to reflect demographic changes in a State, Union territory or at national level. J&K’s demarcation exercise is expected to begin next year.

“Terrorism has decreased, the stone bombardment is no longer visible. I want to assure you that strict measures will be taken against those who want to ruin the peace in J&K; no one can hinder development here. This is our commitment, ”he said.

“I came to Jammu and Kashmir after about 2.5 years. It’s a very happy time for me. After the safety review meeting, I will attend an event organized by the youth of the youth clubs, ”he said.

Shah also said the youth of Kashmir have been rescued due to the curfew and the internet suspension. “People have questioned the curfew and the internet suspension. If there had been no curfew, I don’t know how many lives would have been lost. Young people in Kashmir have been saved thanks to the curfew and the Internet suspension, “said Amit Shah, adding 70 years. Why were 40,000 people killed? “

He announced that the J&K government had decided to form a youth club in each panchayat and that 25,000 rupees would be paid to each of these clubs.

“So far 150 clubs have received havans. Sports engagement programs have also been launched, ”he said.

He added that 4,500 youth clubs have been registered across Jammu and Kashmir, including 4,229 youth clubs in rural areas. “You can imagine that 4,229 youth clubs are working to connect young people in rural areas with some or other development and sport activities. It’s a new start, “he added.

“From fear, terrorism, corruption and family politics to peace, development and prosperity. The youth of Jammu Kashmir have made this change, ”said Amit Shah.

Union Home Secretary Amit Shah told security and intelligence forces on Saturday that there was no room for laxity in counterterrorism operations. He ordered the forces to make a concerted effort to eliminate the terror from the valley. He chaired a meeting of security and intelligence chiefs.

According to sources, he said: “There must be more efforts for better coordination and synergy between the forces to deal with the terrorists. Eliminate the terrorists in the Kashmir Valley.

He also sought to know why killings of civilians are taking place despite so much force and the reason for the rise of “youth radicalization” and terrorist recruitment. “Why were the counterterrorism operations in Rajouri and Poonch prolonged? ” He asked. The Home Secretary made it clear that ordinary people should not be collateral damage.

He said the government wants peace in the valley but the killings of civilians in the recent past have been counterproductive.
